They can pose serious challenges when discovered as part of any site due diligence. These emerging contaminants can refer to many different chemicals including pharmaceuticals, personal care products (PPCPs), cleaning products, industrial chemicals, and agriculture products.
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) appear from a variety of sources including water and stain resistant applications and fire training/response foams. Ransom’s environmental team is skilled at identifying and remediating PFAS in surface water, groundwater and surface sediment.
